Knowsley Integrated Recovery Service (CGL)

We are an Adult and Young People Service providing recovery services for service users in the community and Drug Intervention Programmes for those individuals who are offending.

Universal: Level 1Children having their needs met through accessing universal services such as schools, health visiting, GP and so on. - Level 1: UniversalChildren having their needs met through accessing universal services such as schools, health visiting, GP and so on.

• Training to frontline staff regarding substance misuse
• Home Visits - including home assessment, completed within 5 days of referral
• Safe Storage boxes issued for service users with children

Universal: Level 1Children having their needs met through accessing universal services such as schools, health visiting, GP and so on. - Level 2: Universal PlusTargeted response by single agency to support the additional needs.  Targeted services for children and families beginning to experience – or at risk of – difficulties, for example school counselling, parenting programmes, support for teenage parents and so on.

• Treatment service for substance misusers

• Brief Interventions
• Monthly safeguarding reviews completed by services designated safeguarding leads.

Partnership Plus - Level 3: Universal Partnership Plus - Multiple/ComplexMulti-Agency planning and support (Team Around the Family) with a Lead Professional.  Specialist services for children and families with multiple needs such as intensive family support, specialist child and adolescent mental health services, and services for children with disabilities.

• Structured inpatient detox provision.  Provides a safe period of medically managed and monitored withdrawal and detoxification.
