Knowsley Foodbank

Emergency food packages are available for 3 days for those in need.  Food is accessed through a voucher, held by organisations across the borough.

Knowsley Food Support (KFS)

We also work in partnership with Knowsley Council supporting their Food Support service. KFS is a Knowsley Council project that is delivered in partnership with Knowsley Foodbank. It provides emergency food and Knowsley Council may also be able to supply vouchers for gas and electricity, to people in crisis.

Universal: Level 1Children having their needs met through accessing universal services such as schools, health visiting, GP and so on. Plus - Level 2: Universal PlusTargeted response by single agency to support the additional needs.  Targeted services for children and families beginning to experience – or at risk of – difficulties, for example school counselling, parenting programmes, support for teenage parents and so on.

• Individuals/families in crisis identified by front line professional and issued with a food bank voucher.  Vouchers can then be exchanged for three days worth of food.
• Food bank volunteers undertake 1:1 conversations with individuals to identify problems and signpost to agencies for longer term solutions.
• Emergency food package delivery to cliens living in rural areas who cannot afford the transport.
