Willow Tree Primary School
Willow Tree Primary School provision is for children aged 4 – 11 years. The school has long established history of being highly inclusive and offer quality education provision to pupils with a wide range of educational and physical needs.
The school follows the International Primary Curriculum and all of our pupils participate in international linked school projects. Our pupils in KS2 also receive tuition in a musical instrument, previous year groups have learnt to play the guitar, violin , steel drums and flute. Developing rounded individuals, who can achieve in all areas of the curriculum: sport; music; arts as well as the academic is important to us, whilst ensuring the highest regard to the pupils’ well being; emotional and behavioural development.
Ofsted inspection (May 2015): Requires improvement
As the latest report shows the school is well equipped and is leading improvement with ‘steely determination’. Dips in school attainment link directly to small class cohorts and high levels of SEN, however our progress measures are consistently good or better- with our disadvantaged pupils performing particularly well. Our most recent KS2 results reflect the improvements already occurring.
To assist parents and to broaden the experiences of out pupils, we also offer breakfast and offer after school activities. There is private Nursery provision for children aged 3 months to school age situated within the Hilltop Children’s Centre, which is also on our site.
The Headteacher is Mrs. Emma Riley; the Assistant Headteacher is Mrs K. Williams; our administrators are Miss. Jennifer Fairclough.
