A Primary School for children aged 3-11 years with the Kids in Bloom Children's Centre attached. At St Joseph the Worker we are committed to living out our mission statement – A loving Christian family striving to achieve excellence.
At the heart of our community, St Joseph the Worker School provides quality education and experiences for our young people whilst fostering strong and supportive partnerships with our parents and carers.
Children learn in a well resourced high quality environment where they feel happy, valued and safe. We enjoy extended school facilities of breakfast club. We endeavour to provide opportunities for our young people to help them achieve their full potential.
We work closely with other agencies such as, Knowsley Surestart, Primary Care Trust, Leisure and Community Services, to meet the full needs of the families in this Southdene community.
Extended School Services Available:
Before school childcare and/or activities for school age children (term time)
Childcare or activities for children are offered by external providers
Nursery education places for three and four year olds (term time)
Childcare or activities for children are offered in partnership with other schools
Family learning (i.e. parents/carers/other adult family members learning together with children
Information on national/local advice and support for parents
Work with social care professionals to support pupils
Study support, sports, arts, music, ICT and/or volunteering opportunities for pupils outside school hours
