Park Brow Community Primary School
Park Brow Primary School provision is for aged 3 – 11 years. We also operate a 2 year provision (Little Starfish Centre) which is coordinated under the Local Authority 2 Year Offer Programme. The school is high inclusive and has a large Inclusion Team which includes an Attendance Officer, Learning Mentor, SEMH lead and an Inclusion Manager. The school is a new build and therefore has a vast range of new and inclusive resources and facilities.
Meeting our pupil’s needs is high on our agenda often thinking outside the box. Our new venture has been to increase teaching capacity in the classes allowing staff to plug gaps in learning. This has been one of our most successful ways of using Pupil Premium Funding. Staff/ Pupil ratio at Park Brow School is high.
The school has an exciting creative curriculum designed by the teachers and pupils. Curriculum drivers allow staff to plan exciting opportunities for our pupils both within and outside the school environment. Visits to places of interest are central to ensuring our pupil’s experiences are widened. We also provide free music tuition in guitars, flute and keyboards.
At Park Brow we also offer breakfast and afterschool provision. We offer a wide range of afterschool clubs:
Lego Therapy, Active Soccer, Girls, Boys and mixed football, Science Clubs, Craft and Art Club, Gymnastic Club, Basketball Club, Homework, Maths and Reading Clubs.
Head teacher is Ms Valmai Roberts, Deputy Headteacher Miss Swinburn
