SEN Policy Statement

Holy Family Halewood Catholic Primary School is one of three schools in the parish of St. John Vianney and educates children from the age of 3 to 11 years.  Children can begin in the Nursery class after reaching their third birthday and attend on a half-day basis. Morning Nursery is from 8:30am till 11:30am and the afternoon Nursery is from 12:30pm till 3:30pm.  Children are admitted to our Reception class in the September of the school year in which they reach their fifth birthday.  We currently offer 52 places in our Nursery class and our admission number for our Reception class is 40.  The school is popular and is usually oversubscribed.  We also have a Breakfast Club from 8.00a.m.to 8.45a.m. each day

At Holy Family School we care about the children and each other. We expect everyone including staff, children and parents to aim for excellence. At Holy Family, we endeavour to create a happy, stimulating working environment. We believe we can offer all pupils a wide range of academic and extra-curricular activities, which will enhance their educational and social development. Holy Family has excellent facilities and resources for all children.

After-school clubs include; Cross Country, Choir, Cookery, Boccia, Curling, Reading for Pleasure, Football, Multi-Skills, Media, Netball, Mathletics and Judo among others.

Your child will benefit immensely from their time spent at Holy Family and we hope that as parents you too can feel part of our school community. We believe parents have an important role to play in the education of their children. Parents are encouraged to become involved in school life through a variety of ways. Parental support can only help your child. Our Family Learning sessions are often oversubscribed and popular.

You are welcome to make an appointment to see the Headteacher/Deputy Headteacher at any time during the school year. The Headteacher of the school is Mr Quigley.
