Knowsley Empower Job Carved Placement Opportunity - Grounds Maintenance & Recycling Assistant

The placement is for Knowsley residents who are A person who is not in employment, education or training. (Not in Education, Employment or Training) and have a learning difficulty and/or disability.

The placement is for five days a week Monday – Friday and is initially for 6 weeks.  The placement is in a school in Huyton and is for 2 hours a day 9:30am – 11:30am.  The purpose of the job is to help the Site Manager in an outdoor setting to keep the garden areas of the school tidy, attractive and safe.  Collect and recycle paper, cardboard and plastic bottles from different areas in the school.   

The work placement will allow the successful candidate to try out the role and make sure it is right for them.  It will also allow the business to assess and review the job carved role to see if it contributes to their business need.  If at the end of the placement, the candidate and the organisation are happy for the placement to move into a paid role, the candidate will be offered the position.
